The shortest privacy policy we could honestly write.

The one-sentence version

Everything JustMileage records (your drives, routes, vehicles, and reports) is stored on your iPhone and, when iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud account for backup and sync. We do not collect, sell, or share any of it.

What the app stores

• Drive history: routes, distances, dates, and the business/personal labels you assign
• Vehicles you add, including the Bluetooth or CarPlay identifiers used to recognize them
• Smart rules you accept and app settings
• Reports you generate (PDF/CSV), until you delete or share them

This data lives in the app’s local database on your iPhone. When iCloud is enabled, Apple’s CloudKit syncs that database through your private iCloud account so your trips can survive a lost, replaced, or upgraded phone. Apple manages iCloud under Apple’s privacy policy. JustMileage does not run a trip-sync server and cannot read your private iCloud trip data.

What we collect

No trip, route, vehicle, report, or account data. JustMileage has no account system, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. Drive data is not uploaded to JustMileage servers. It may sync to your private iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit for backup and device-to-device sync.

Public mileage-rate catalog

JustMileage may download a public mileage-rate catalog from https://www.justmileage.app/mileage-rates/us.json so reports can use published and configurable mileage rates. That request asks only for the catalog; it contains no trip, route, location, vehicle, account, or report data. If the catalog cannot be reached, the app falls back to bundled rates.

Location and motion permissions

JustMileage asks for location access (Always, with Precise Location) and Motion & Fitness access so it can detect and record drives automatically. That information is processed by Apple’s frameworks on your device and stored in the app’s database, which may sync through your private iCloud account. Maps shown in the app and in PDF reports are rendered using Apple Maps under Apple’s privacy practices.

Diagnostics

If the app crashes, Apple may share an anonymized crash report with us, but only if you opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS Settings; that choice and pipeline are Apple’s. Separately, Settings → Share Diagnostics in JustMileage creates a plain-text file on your device that you can read and choose to send us yourself. Nothing is ever uploaded automatically.

This website and support

The website you’re reading is static and sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you contact us through the support form, the message you write (your email address, subject, and message text) is sent to our help desk (operated by Freshworks) solely so we can reply to you. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you’re human without tracking you across sites. We keep support conversations only as long as needed to help you, and we never use them for marketing.

Children

JustMileage is rated 4+ but is built for drivers. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because the app does not collect account, trip, location, or report data from users.

Changes

If JustMileage ever changes how it handles data (for example, by adding a JustMileage-operated server sync feature, analytics, or an account system), we will update this policy, change the app’s privacy label, and ask for your consent in the app before drive, location, or report data is sent somewhere we can access. The current promise stands: your location is nobody’s business, not even ours.
